Mel Canning broke through in the first half to score a try from the half-way line, followed by Suzie Parsons & Rachel Spolton in the second half. Dani Booth kicked the conversion. Michelle Herbert came back after injury to play a great attacking game. Match awards were given to Viktoria Longden and Lorna Hall.

Chesterfield (7) v Mosborough (10) 10th March
Chesterfield Ladies made a splendid effort this Sunday against local team, Mosborough. The weather was against the match as the winds howled and the rain drove into faces. It took 30 minutes of hard defensive work by both sets of forwards for Mosborough to finally penetrate Chesterfield’s line and score the first try of the match. Chesterfield came back onto the pitch after half time and within minutes, winger, Cheryl Sawford had picked the ball up and run through 5 of her opposition to score directly under the sticks, fly half Dani Booth quickly converted the try. The weather got progressively worse and the play with it, the last 20 minutes saw Mosborough’s last try but Chesterfield were unable to equalise. Excellent play came from newcomer 2nd row Kim.
