This Sundays friendly match was an excellent training game for first timers Chesterfield Ladies. The score of 44-5 to Mosborough by no means reflected the effort and determination shown by the whole team. For most lady players it was the first ever rugby game so the praise is well deserved. Michelle Herbert (2nd Row) was voted lady of the match for her courage, and the other outstanding players were Yvette Waterfall (no 8), Viktoria Longden (Winger) and Sara Hall (Full Back). Yvette Waterfall scored the Chesterfield try.

This friendly match proved to be an excellent training game for newcomers Chesterfield. It was the second game ever played by most players from Chesterfield against an experienced Sheffield team in a much higher league. By the second half Chesterfield had settled in and all players put their heart & soul into the game. Player of the match was Sara Hall (full back), who despite her petite build was reluctant to let any opposition past. Ele Herbert (prop) was voted forward of the match for her power & determination.
